Stuff it in your ear, Momma…

Today I posted a picture of my new best friends on Twitter.

I thought all of you would know who they are, but apparently some of you are not as fortunate as I.

For those of you who still haven’t figured it out: They are ear plugs.

Glorious, small and squeaky and tacky orange ear plugs.

And…they have changed my life.

As recent as yesterday, one could walk into my closet office and find me like this:

Or like this:

No sleep for Momma. I stay up too late working on school stuff and have a hard time sleeping when I finally get to bed.

Until 2 days ago.

Now, I don’t what it is that is keeping me up at night. It couldn’t be because I have 4 assignments due in the next two weeks or because I have finals coming up or that we are moving or that life is just generally stressful.

It couldn’t be any of that, right?

So, I thought I would try ear plugs. I always thought that was for crazy people (No offense, Dad) who want to block out all distractions and have a little peace inside their heads.

Wait now!

That sounds pretty effin good!

So, I tried them. And, I. Love. Them. More. Than. Wine.

Now, I still don’t know what to think about the strange dreams these ear plugs have facilitated. I am not a axe-murderer, contrary to my dream last night and this.

I hope pronouncing my little orange friends my new besties won’t be premature. If I dream I am some kind of psycho again tonight I may have to consider.

Sweet dreams! Thank you my little orange friends!
