Hi! My name is Theresa and I live somewhere in the vast expanse that is Canada.
I am the mother of two little girls and currently pursuing a Masters degree in Public Health. My studies focus on social inequities, mainly how one’s social status can affect one’s health.
I started this blog to discuss issues pertaining to motherhood and writing, and to explore my own experiences as a parent. I plan to use the skills and perspectives I gain in university to explore some of the issues that most parents and caregivers face.
I also write to write, if you know what I mean. I am currently working on a short fiction project titled, The Last Summer. I am happy to report that it will be published in Exile Quarterly this year! UPDATE: My story now appears in issue 34.4.
My goal is to post at least twice a week, if not more. I had aimed to blog daily, but with two little munchkins it can be hard to keep up the pace. I have two little girls who keep me very busy, whom I love very much, and sometimes drive me crazy.
Lastly, I am a huge sap and smartass, which make for some interesting posts. Stay tuned…
